Hello
there!
Back to
writing after some thinking on the blog! I wanted to change some
things and step up the quality of the content I wanted to give. After
giving my mind some space to figure things out this is what I
decided.
I
wanted to tell something else than just my personal approach to some
ordinary dance related subjects. I wanted to give more depth to my content by exposing more mature and maybe more interesting subjects that can lead to have a better connection with the readers.
I wanted to start a series of posts talking about more personal things. I believe that dancers sometimes
forget to show a bit more of their personal and mental side that is
so important. Now a days, sharing our own experiences might help
other dancers to also speak about their insecurities and thoughts
while growing up in the ballet world.
We
somehow feel ashamed of talking about our thoughts and fears as
dancers. We see it as bad and makes us look weak when we say that we
can’t handle some situations that might stress us or make us feel
depressed or fearful.
This is
a very demanding career and as a community we should aim to support
each other and make our environment a safe and comfortable one in
order to be able to enjoy our job to its maximum.
I
personally still haven’t been able to work as a fully professional
dancer as my only year working was in an apprentice position while
finishing my studies but this subject can also apply to students as I
believe that student life is also very demanding.
Today I
want to open up a way for dancers to share their journeys, with all
ups and downs and make other dancers aware that they’re not alone
and that all problems can be solved by asking for help to others that
might have been through the same.
I also
wanted to tell you that I’m preparing a YouTube channel where I can
share video posts that might be more focused on the ballet section of
this blog. Having a video support to my posts might be a better way
to show some exercises, choreographies, classes, vlogs, etc. that
will give you a closer look into my day to day.
Finally,
I want to start a regular section on the blog that will be focused
on interviewing other dancers and artists that will share their
stories and advice as well as opening up a forum where you can leave
your questions and suggestions.
I also
added direct links to my Facebok and Instagram pages so you can
contact me through different platforms and you can also subscribe
through e-mail to my blog so you receive notice of any new post!
I hope
that you’re looking forward to see a change on the content and I’m
willing to hear what you think as well!

I hope
you have a wonderful evening and I will see you very very soon!
Love,
Muriel
