Good evening!
Today it’s been a
rainy and grey day and that’s one of the reasons why I can’t post
today what I was planning to because the lighting is not great to
take pictures but I promise you’ll have it next Thursday so, stay
tuned for the small surprise because I know you might like it!
For today’s cozy
evening post I thought of doing a «50 things about me tag»
so you get to know me a bit better! Let’s start!
1.- My full name is
Muriel Bermejo Tuñón. Yes, in Spain we use both of the first
surnames from our parents which I feel it’s beautiful because you
carry both parts of your family within your name.
2.- I’m 19.
3.- I was born in
Barcelona, Spain.
4.- Which, by the
way, is one of my favourite cities in the world.
5.- Talking about
cities, I’ve always been in love with London and although I just
went once when I was twelve, I know that sometime in my life I’ll
live there.
6.- That brings me
to Paris. It’s a city that I always wanted to visit but I had the
feling that I wouldn’t get impressed by because I saw it so many
times in movies that I really had the feeling that I wouldn’t be
able to fall in love with it. But once I traveled there I couldn’t
believe how hard it hit me that city. And of course, I’ll live in
Paris sometime.
7.- In fact, a
couple of months ago, coming back from an audition I needed to change
trains in Paris in a two hours lapse and (this is completly true)
when I was waiting in the door of Gare de l’Est, with the sun
shining and in front of this beautiful city a tear came down my cheek
because I really wanted to stay and get lost for a while. Maybe it
was because the full adventure of the audition was overwhelming but I
knew that I really loved that city when that happened.
8.- If you haven’t
noticed, I love traveling.
9.- And although I
love it I’ve just had one chance to do a transatlantic flight to
Cancún, Mexico.
10.- I enjoy too
much going on a flight.
11.- But I’m not
as happy with trains. Bad experiences with Deutsche Bahn I guess.
12.- I’m currently
living in Mannheim, Germany.
13.- But I never
thought of Germany as a destination to visit! And now I really want
to discover a lot more cities while I have the chance.
Nüremberg. One of the destinations
on my Germany must visit list!
14.- Moving on into
another subject, I can’t live without music. And I love all styles!
15.- Actually, first
thing I do when I wake up is put on my phone a spanish music radio
station (Los 40 Principales)
16.- I can’t do
any housewife stuff without music.
17.- It’s a bit
difficult for me to get into cleaning and organizing but once I get
into it, I really go for it all the way and I really enjoy it.
18.- I’m obsessed
with stationary stuff. Specially notebooks!
19.- And I enjoy
calligraphy a lot as well.
20.- I try to make
every single card for birthdays, New Year’s, Christmas or even just
a thank you card by hand.
21.- One of my
hidden "talents" is copying calligraphies from other persons.
22.- Another one of
my «talents» is having a good orientation. My mum says I completely
got it from my dad.
23.- I’m very
clumsy. I usually get bruises that I can’t remember how I got them
and somehow I get attracted to corners of tables, doors or anything
that can hit me.
24.- I have one
brother who’s seven and a half years older than me. People get very
surprised when they see us toghether because we get along extremely
well even with the age gap!
25.- My family is
the very first thing in life.
Love them so much that not even words can say how much.
26.- My favourite
color is green but I also like red a lot.
27.- One of the
things I miss the most while in Germany is the sea. It really brings
me too many things the moment of sitting down in the sand and just
hearing the waves come and go.
28.- I’m more of a
sea person than a mountain one.
29.- But I do enjoy
a very good hiking route.
30.- I love cats and
I wish someday I can get one. British breed are my favourite ones but
I would adopt any cat if I get the chance.
31.- As a birthday
present when I was around eight I got two turtles that I randomly
called Miquel i Pol (I was missing a third one to call it as a
catalan poet called Miquel Martí i Pol). I was really excited
when I got them but I must say that now I can’t take care of them
and I feel bad for making my parents take care of them when they were
my responsability.
32.- I enjoy a lot
videogames! My brother got me into it with Super Mario World in the
Super Nintendo console that we used to play when we stayed in our
grandparents house and although I’m very bad at it I still love
playing with him.
33.- One of the
games I’m good at is Professor Layton’s saga. I love puzzles and
riddles in general.
34.- And Rythym
Paradise as well. And Animal Crossing. Actully, to make long story
short, a big majority of my top games are made for Ninetndo consoles
so, you get the deal.
35.- I also enjoy
anime. And I’m actually currently following the new season of
Sakura Card Captor. And I’m not embarrased about it!
36.- When I was
younger I use to read, draw and watch a lot of manga and anime. I
even wanted to get a Wacom tablet when I got eleven so I could draw
digitally and open a Deviant Art account!
37.- I used to go to
otaku events and I loved them. I got several mangas and art books
that I would later use to copy the drawings and improve my drawing
skills.
38.- I love to draw
but I lost a lot of practice because when I was in high school I just
draw assignments for my art class and when I finished high school I
decided to take a break from drawing because I didn’t enjoy it as
much anymore. I regret it too much, but I’m trying to get back to
it.
39.- Another thing I
used to do and that now I’m actually getting back to it is writing!
I actually won a couple of writing competitions that were promoted
from school.
40.- And now I’m
planning on presenting myself to another writing competition! Hope I
can make it to the deadline!
41.- I really enjoy
fashion but I must say that I’m still too shy to try things that I
like. Guess I must build a bit more confidence and go more savage on
my fashion desitions.
42.- I’ve never
been to a pop music concert or a music festival. But I really want to
do it!
43.- I would love to
go to Coachella, Tomorrowland and Ultra Sound festivals. I know,
quite different the three of them but I said it before: I love all
kinds of music!
44.- When I was
younger I used to listen to Bullet for my Valentine, All that
remains, System of a Down, Metallica and a lot more of heavy metal
bands. My brother played the bass (and he still does) with a small
band where they performed metal songs and I really got into it.
45.- I even bought
accessories with skewers and tacks. But no, I wasn’t into emo
aesthetic or gothic aesthetic.
46.- I enjoy a lot
house decor and I have a planned in my mind how it would be my
perfect home.
47.- I would like to
learn more about minimalist life style and zero waste philosophy.
48.- Last year I
started to get into meditation and now, everytime I have an audition,
an exam, an special event or I’m just really stressed I have a
short meditation session and it really helps me center myself and
calm down.
49.- I would like to
get a tatoo at the end of this school year. I know what, where and
how but I would like to keep it in a bit of a secret. The only clue
is that it would be very small.
50.- One of the
subjects I enjoyed the most while doing my very last years or
pre-college education was art history and I’ve thought of maybe in
some years, when I’m more setteled, starting the university career
through internet.
Saturn wasn't eating his children. Here's the proof.
And those are 50
things about me not related to ballet that I think they can be fun
for you to read. Now you know me a bit better and if you like you can
comment down below which facts did you find surprising, funny or
relatable!
I hope you have a
lovely evening and I’ll see you tomorrow!
Love,
Muriel
