Coming home

Hello again!

So, as I said in the last post, now it’s time to talk about a much happier trip. Coming back home.

Everyone around me was already tired of hearing how excited I was of coming back home but I just couldn’t stop it! I mean, I’m so close to home compared to other students in the academy yet I can’t really travel back so often because of auditions, performances and just working on my own.

My countdown clock!

But finally, after five months of not seeing family and friends I flew yesterday to Barcelona. But guess what? It was also delayed! Lufthansa, my parents have invested too much money on you to give me such poor service, so please, keep your standards higher bitte schön!

Anyway, I had quite a pleasant flight as I downloaded the two last chapters of Stranger Things and I finished this fantastic show that I still don’t know why it took me so long to finish it. Once I got out of the plane, I was basically running through the airport with the biggest smile ever, as if I was a kid again. When I got out and I saw my whole family waiting I ran to them and I had the biggest and warmest hug that I so needed.

We drove back home and although my dad needed to return to work, my mum and brother stayed with me and when I opened my bedroom door I found a beautiful surprise: my desk had a beautiful rose and book from Sant Jordi’s day and I also had my birthday presents and what every ballerina loves, two pairs of brand new pointe shoes and new flats.

All of my presents were beautiful but the best was yet to come. I suddenly get a notification of my brother’s YouTube channel. He just posted a new video and when I asked him he said that we could maybe watch it together in the living room.

Ah, yes, before we go on. My brother has an awesome YouTube channel dedicated to computers, video games and electronic devices where he gives reviews, tutorials on how to repair them and also history talks about specific devices or video games. I really think he’s extremely talented and I know that this channel might grow a lot in the next two years. I really recommend you to check it out!

Okay, so back to the story. The video has for a title «Special Thanks» and I really thought it was either going to be a thank you to a specific creator or business related to video games because maybe they launched a new game that he really liked or something similar. Once I start watching it I see all the video games I really enjoy and that I’ve played somehow and my first thought was «good taste choosing the correct games, bro!». But suddenly it turned out to be a video for me which congratulated me for my birthday.

Sneak peak from my brother's video

You guessed it. I started crying like a baby and I had a big big hug from my brother. I’ll leave the link at the end of this post and I would really appreciate it if you watch it. He’s never edited before and he did a wonderful video, so professional and beautiful that not even words can describe.

At that moment I couldn’t feel happier. Although I didn’t have the best begging of the week it just turned out to be perfect. And that was thanks to a fantastic family that help me, support me and love me like anyone else does.

Afterwards, I had a nice afternoon with my mum and brother and when my dad came we had a lovely dinner all together.

I’ll repeat myself a thousand times but I really don’t think that I could be happier right now. During this past year I’m trying to get the best out of everything and really try to look to the bright side of things. I have several reasons to not be this happy but like everyone else, we’ll always want more and more and we’ll always feel that we’re not satisfied with the current situation. But if you look at it from the other side, there’s too many things to be grateful for and why not taking that side everyday?

I can’t wait to enjoy this next two weeks to relax while still training and charge the batteries for the upcoming exam season. Soon I’ll be graduating and sincerely, I can’t wait for it!

I hope you all have a lovely day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Love,

Muriel
